Alaska Roadside King Salmon Fishing
Our newest Alaska Adventure Series DVD and Ultimate Guide - "Alaska Roadside King Salmon Fishing from Anchorage to Denali National Park" provides information for the do it yourself fisherman wanting to experience an unguided Alaska fishing trip from the road system. This video features 23 different rivers and creeks and the prime fishing holes that are open to king salmon fishing along the 240 mile stretch of road from just north of Anchorage to Denali Park.
The Susitna and Chulitna drainages offer some of the best roadside accessible king salmon fishing in Alaska. The Susitna drainage supports Alaska’s fourth largest chinook (king) salmon run - typically numbering between 100,000 and 200,000 kings. For comparision, this is nearly double the number of kings that return to the popular Kenai River. This video and guide shows the access and best places to fish the most popular fisheries of Willow, Sheep and Montana Creeks on the Susitna River as well as tributaries of the Chulitna Rivers that receive no fishing pressure. It also features information on the Eklutna Tailrace and Little Susitna River as well as other Susitna tributaries open to king salmon fishing including: Goose Creek, Little Willow Creek, Birch Creek, Sunshine Creek, Rabideaux Creek, Caswell Creek, and the Kashwitna River.
The Chulitna River System is an outstanding, little known fishery. See the access to and the best fishing holes of: East Fork Chulitna River, Middle Fork Chulitna River, West Fork Chulitna River, East Fork Middle Fork Chulitna River confluence, Honolulu Creek, Hardage Creek, Antimony Creek, Fourth of July Creek, Coal Creek and more.
As an added bonus, we take you on a jet boat taxi ride up the glacial Talkeetna River to fish Clear Creek.

Michael from Alaska: Even though we live in Alaska, I bought this video in order to be able to explore some new fishing ground without having to go out and waste a lot of time doing so. There's just to many places in this state to fish for salmon, and if you spend your time exploring and come up dry you'll miss out catching fish at spots that are sure things. I can personally attest to the kind of success you can have at Honolulu Creek, but now I have a lot of other options close by thanks to Jim and Russ doing our scouting for us. Their information is right on and I highly recommend this video, and no doubt their others, for anyone coming to Alaska to enjoy the fantastic fishing we have to offer.
Robert from Maine: Just finished watching your video and reading the guide book - Great job! Can't wait to try out the locations suggested. Already started putting a trip together for '09. Had a blast on the Aniak River thanks to your video and book "Floating & Fishing Alaska's Aniak River." Looking forward to a repeat experience. Keep these products coming!
Raymond from Alaska: I just finished watching the new Alaska Roadside DVD.(for the 3rd time)I really enjoyed it. The Chulitna Drainage is only a few hours from the house and I have never fished it. I have driven by it a 100 times and never stopped. This year I will definitely stop and fish it. I like the booklet that comes with each DVD. I also like having the GPS coordinates. I hope you don't get any negative feedback for giving them out. I have been studying the book and my maps and I will plan on making a trip or 2 down there this year. I look forward to the next DVD!
Don from New Hampshire: Thanks for the quick shipping of the Alaska Roadside DVD and Ultimate Guide. I have watched the video 5 times and read the book and they are AWESOME!! Anyone even considering going to Alaska would be foolish not to have purchased and viewed the DVD. I will take it along with me on my trip in 2008, there is a TV in the motorhome, so we will be able to refer to it during the trip. We will be fishing silvers, but there's no doubt having all this information will help us have a better trip. Thanks for all you have done to help us do it yourself fishermen experience Alaska!
Caroline from Michigan: We received the video and my husband could not have been happier! He is an avid fisherman and loved the detail. We are going to Alaska in June for a month and are taking the video and guide with us. We pray we have as much luck as you and are looking forward to our trip. Jana from Long Beach, California: My husband and I just watched the video (for the second time). We have fished Alaska, but had no idea there were so many places to fish along the road!
